Burden- Original Painting

$450.00

Some bears are broken by storms. Others by hunger. The bear called Atlas was defeated by neither.

For years it accepted every load placed upon its back. It cleared fallen trees from trails used by smaller creatures. It guarded dens that were not its own. It carried worries that belonged to others and treated every problem in the forest as though it were responsible for solving it.

The forest praised the bear's strength.

And so the bear carried more.

When the weight became too great, Atlas did not complain. When the road grew long, Atlas did not stop. When exhaustion settled into its bones, Atlas simply leaned against a tree and promised itself that it would rest tomorrow.

Tomorrow became the next day.

Then the next.

Those who passed the old forest path would find the great bear resting there, eyes heavy with weariness, still unwilling to release what it carried.

The Quiet Wild teaches that collapse is rarely sudden. The heaviest burdens are not the ones that crush us in a moment, but the ones we agree to carry a little longer each day.

When offered help, Atlas always gave the same answer.

"There are others who need it more."

For every traveler who encounters Atlas and it’s Burden, there remains a choice:

Set down the weight. Or become part of it.

Atlas believed that every creature deserved compassion.

It never occurred to him that he was one of them.

“The burden you carry today may carry you tomorrow. Strength is knowing when to rest, not merely when to endure.”

This is a 12×12 Original Acrylic Painting which will soon be added as a card to the Quiet Wild Deck
